Hi, I’m Karen. Thanks for calling in!
I started this blog as a place to write about some of the lessons I’ve been learning as a Christian woman, wife, and mother. I hope there will be something here to encourage your heart. Grab your favourite hot (or cold) beverage, find a (semi) quiet corner and join me as I remind my heart to look up to God as I journey through this life.
My life verse is Psalm 27.1. “The Lord is the strength of my life”. The tagline, “relying on God in real life” is a reminder to me to put my trust and hope in God for the ordinary things of life and the different challenges I face. I hope you will join me on this journey!

About Me
Hi, I’m Karen. Happy and thankful to be… a Christian woman, wife to Paul and mum to four boys who are now tumbling into and through their teens. Also privileged to know what it is to have children on the autism spectrum and to have gained an awareness and understanding of this. I enjoy… reading, playing the piano, chatting to my boys and husband, the quietness of early mornings, and catching up with friends for some good conversation.
I aspire to be better at keeping my house tidy, keeping on top of the laundry, staying in touch with friends, walking regularly, being on time, eating healthier ….I could go on. Point being….I am far from being or having everything perfect, but so thankful for a Saviour who forgives, redeems, renews, restores and whose strength is made perfect in weakness. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthian 12 v 9)
